The Town Recycling Center will be opening a Reuse-a-Center the end of April 2010 to give unwanted items a second chance for use. Ask staff to direct you to areas where items are stored. (845) 255-8456

The Hudson Valley Materials Exchange has come home to New Paltz. "Stuff Central," an environmental program with a mission of resource conservation education through waste reduction and effective solid waste management has moved adjacent to the Recycling Center and Landfill on Clearwater Road. Town of New Paltz Recyling Center and Landfill Clearwater Road (off of State Route 32 North) Open: 9am to 5pm, Tuesday through Saturday Closed: Sunday, Monday, and major Holidays. An annual permit is $20.00 for Town residents, $5.00 for Town resident seniors (age 65 and older) and veterans. A book of 10 coupons for garbage is $30.00. Permits and coupons are only available at the Recycling Center.

Annual Spring Cleanup will be held April 24th - May 8th 2010 AND on Monday, May 31st (Memorial Day)
Every Town resident outside of the Village with a Spring Cleanup coupon may drop off trash and items listed in the flyer(coupons available only at the Recycling Center):

1 load of household items (not to
exceed 2 1/2 yards)
4 car tires
1 Freon unit
1 major appliance (non-Freon)
1 mattress set
1 couch

Seniors and disable veterans should call 255-8456 no later than April 18th in order to schedule curbside pickup. Pick up will be limited to ONE load of debris (up to 2 1/2 yards).
